History of Isra and Mi’raj in Comoros and How to Celebrate/ Observe It
The Isra and Mi’raj are the two parts of a single journey that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took. The Isra is the part where he was taken from Mecca to Jerusalem, and the Mi’raj is the part where he ascended to heaven. This event is also known as the Night Journey, and it is considered to be one of the most important events in Islamic history.
The journey began when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was asleep in the Ka’bah. He then awoke to find the Angel Gabriel next to him. The angel then took him on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem. On the way, they passed by some of the most sacred sites in Islam, such as the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
Once they arrived in Jerusalem, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led all the other prophets in prayer. After this, he was taken up into heaven, where he met with Allah. During this meeting, Allah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the verses of the Qur’an.
After returning to Mecca, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recounted his journey to his companions. This event is significant because it shows that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the final prophet and that the Qur’an is the final revelation from Allah.
