In the United States, Love Your Lawyer Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of August. The holiday was created in 2006 by the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division to encourage young lawyers to show appreciation for their mentors and colleagues.
The ABA YLD encourages people to celebrate Love Your Lawyer Day by expressing gratitude to those who have helped them in their career, whether it be a mentor, colleague, or friend. The ABA YLD also asks people to take the time to reach out to a lawyer they may not know and express appreciation for the work that lawyers do.
