History of Navaratri in Myanmar and How to Celebrate/ Observe It
Navaratri is a nine-day Hindu festival that occurs annually in the month of October. It is a celebration of the goddess Durga and her various incarnations. The first three days of Navaratri are dedicated to the worship of Durga, the next three days are devoted to the worship of Lakshmi, and the final three days are devoted to the worship of Saraswati. Each day of Navaratri has its own special significance and rituals associated with it. On the ninth day of Navaratri, known as Vijayadasami, Hindus celebrate the victory of good over evil.
Navaratri is a time for fasting, prayer, and puja (worship). Hindus believe that by worshipping the goddesses during this time, they will be blessed with health, wealth, and prosperity.
