History of Veterans Day in Puerto Rico and How to Celebrate/ Observe It
In Puerto Rico, Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th and is a day to honor all of the island’s veterans. On this day, there are many events and activities held throughout Puerto Rico to commemorate the valiant efforts and sacrifices made by these individuals. In San Juan, the capital city, a large parade is held in which veterans from all branches of the military participate. This is followed by a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in which wreaths are laid and speeches are given. Other events on Veterans Day include flag-raising ceremonies, concerts, and special programs on television and radio.
