The Governor of Malacca is the ceremonial head of state of the Malaysian state of Malacca. The governor is appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the head of state of Malaysia, for a three-year term.
The current governor is Mohamad Ali Rustam, who was sworn in on 1 May 2018.
The governor’s role is largely ceremonial, with most executive authority vested in the Chief Minister of Malacca.
