Global Dignity Day is celebrated annually on October 20th. The day was created in 2006 by a group of young people from around the world who were brought together by HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Professor Pekka Himanen, and Mr. John Hope Bryant. The purpose of Global Dignity Day is to promote the idea that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. The day is celebrated in over 50 countries and hundreds of schools and organizations. Global Dignity Day is an opportunity for people of all ages to come together and celebrate the inherent worth and dignity of every human being. It is a day to reflect on what we can do to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to live a life of dignity.
