Maundy Thursday is a Christian holiday that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ. It is observed during Holy Week on the Thursday before Easter. In Denmark, Maundy Thursday is known as “Skærtorsdag”, which means “White Thursday”. The day gets its name from the white garments worn by priests during the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.
