Honduras celebrates New Year’s Eve with a number of traditions and activities. One popular tradition is the dropping of a ball from the top of a tall building in the capital city of Tegucigalpa. Another tradition is to eat twelve grapes at midnight, one for each month of the coming year. People also dress up in costumes and masks and go out to parties and dances.
