In Trinidad and Tobago, New Year’s Eve is celebrated with a large street party known as “J’ouvert.” The party starts at 4am and lasts until sunrise. revellers wear costumes and paint themselves with mud or paint. Music is provided by steel bands and DJs, and there is plenty of food and drink available. At midnight, fireworks are set off and everyone celebrates the start of the new year.
