History of Queen Suthida’s Birthday in Thailand and How to Celebrate/ Observe It

Queen Suthida was born on 3 June 1971, at Sriracha Hospital in Chonburi Province. She is the third child and only daughter of Boonthavorn and Saovabha, a Thai-Chinese couple who owned a construction company.

Queen Suthida attended Rama VI Royal Naval School before studying at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep. In 1991, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Arts, majoring in Communications Arts.

After graduation, Queen Suthida worked as a flight attendant for Thai Airways International for a short period of time. In 1995, she joined the Royal Thai Army and served as a military officer until 2005.

Queen Suthida married His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn on 1 May 2019. The couple has one son, Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti, who was born on 7 April 2005.

Queen Suthida’s birthday is celebrated annually on 3 June. On this day, people from all over Thailand come to pay their respects to the queen and wish her a happy birthday.
