History of World Theater Day and How to Celebrate/ Observe It
In recognition of the power of theater to bring people together, UNESCO declared March 27 World Theater Day. The date was chosen to honor the birth of Konstantin Stanislavski, the influential Russian director and actor who developed the Stanislavski Method, a system for training actors that is still in use today.
