The Isra and Miraj are the two parts of a night journey that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took during which he was taken from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven. The Isra part of the journey refers to the Prophet’s (PBUH) night journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, while the Miraj part refers to his ascent to heaven.
The Isra and Miraj are significant events in Islamic history and belief. For Muslims, they represent the physical and spiritual culmination of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) role as Messenger of God.
