On Shrove Tuesday, the carnival festivities come to an end with a grand parade through the streets of Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. Thousands of people line the route to watch the colourful procession of floats and costumed characters. After the parade, everyone gathers in Town Hall Square to eat, drink, and dance the night away.
