History of Chinese New Year in Suriname and How to Celebrate/ Observe It
The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important holiday in China. It is a 15-day festival that starts on the first day of the lunar calendar and ends with the Lantern Festival. The lunar calendar is different from the Gregorian calendar that is used in the West, so the date of the Chinese New Year changes every year.
