History of Remembrance Day in Bermuda and How to Celebrate/ Observe It

Bermuda’s Remembrance Day is held on November 11th each year to commemorate the end of World War I. The day is also known as Poppy Day, and is marked with a public holiday. On this day, Bermudians wear red poppies to remember the soldiers who lost their lives in the war. A two-minute silence is observed at 11am, and wreaths are laid at the Cenotaph in Hamilton. A service is also held at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity.
